Create and Shine Wallhanging

Here is a wallhanging made with fabric and plaster gauze (the very centre of it) – I have such a fab time with this product! Painting it with Lumieres – lots of layers! This is a mixed media piece with a variety of techniques.

Fabric Journals

These are my newest journals:
This one has fabric covers, and paper signatures clothed in fabric. The papers are scrapbook papers, plain and patterened for writing and also for photos…whatever the heart desires!

This next one has a fabric cover with silk flowers and lace, and text-weight signatures, 64 pages in all.

Christmas Cones

These cones were featured in a Quilting Arts Magazine, and I have been meaning to make one for some time now. I liked it so much I made another for my sister for Christmas.

BY THE BEAUTIFUL SEA

This is my last entry in Juliet’s journal, and off it went to Valeri.
This background is acrylic paints, with cheesecloth draped over the page whilst still wet.
I love those Parisian postcards, and was lucky to get a book of them from St.Jacobs market.

TISSUE ROLL BOOKLET

I made this tissue roll booklet for my sister’s birthday, filling the envie-like pages with tags and pics of her grandkids. Here is a sampling of the pages.
I got the idea from YouTube videos on this subject.

UHU GLUE PROJECT – FEBRUARY 2010

This is the February UHU glue project – A sweet star-shaped box to fill with more candy for St.Patrick’s Day.
I began by glueing the green paper along the side of the box, then spraying green and gold mica paints on the cover. I then painted the box top with crackle paint and when dry, added a bit more sparkle with clear glitter paint. I then took one of the foam clover leaf cutouts and stamped the sides of the box with black and gold paints. Boy, it sure is difficult to get a good pic of this box!! arghhh.
I glued three various shapes of the foam leaves plus the cute as ever ladybug piece, all together with the UHU Gluestick, then glued that to the top with the twist and glue. I am amazed at how well the foam pieces stuck together with the UHU gluestick.
Another fun project!

UHU GLUE VALENTINE BOX AND TAG

Here is another project using UHU Glue, this time the glue roller, which has micro dots, and is lovely to use as there is no gumming up ever, and is smooth flowing. I do like it a lot.
I used the pretty paper for the box, and lined the upper part of it as you can see in the photo. This will be filled with candy hearts, the little ones that I remember from oh so long ago!!
The tag was made from the three pieces of papers, stamping and embossing and then glueing with the roller…so smooth. I added the pretty gemstones to the hearts for a bit of bling.
